For Middle School Students (MSDC)
This year, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will be participating in the Middle School Design Competition (MSDC) by designing and building model roller coasters. The goal of the students are to build the most crazy and workable model scale roller coaster that uses a marble as a car.

For High School Students (HSDC)
For high school students, the High School Design Contest (HSDC) is the challenge placed in front of you. This year, we are following the
Rube Goldberg Contest rules and objectives. In as many steps as you can creatively think up, you have to build a device that completes a simple task, such as last year's task of juicing an orange.

For College Students (JSDC)
For college students, the Jerry Sanders Design Competition (JSDC) is the perfect challenge to spark curiosity in the fields of engineering. Each year, teams from across the country come to compete in the AMD sponsored event that requires teams to build a radio controlled or autonomous robot to tackle the 2,000 square foot, multiple level, 15,000 lbs course.

For the General Public (Public)
For students not in middle school or adults that are out of school, EOH has the public challenge entitled, Illini Onsite Challenge. Do you remember back in school building model structures and seeing how much weight it can hold before breaking? That is what Illini Onsite Challenge is all about. Prizes for contestants are plentiful here and for the best designs you can get your name on our records board.
The People's Choice Exhibit Award
This award is decided by you - the general public. Be sure to come and see all of the exciting exhibits so you can make an informed vote.
